Discover the inspiring true story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, the only all-Black, all-female unit deployed overseas during World War II. Facing discrimination, harsh conditions, and an overwhelming backlog of undelivered mail, these trailblazing women took on the critical mission of restoring morale to U.S. troops and ensuring that messages from home reached the front lines. Featuring a Q&A with author and historian Kevin Hymel, whose research and writings helped bring this story to light, this brand new Netflix film directed by Tyler Perry and starring Kerry Washington honors the courage, perseverance, and unsung contributions of these remarkable women. The program will be moderated by Gettysburg history teacher Alisha Sanders.  The movie screen will be held at the Gettysubrg National Military Park Visitor Center.
