Join historian Tim Smith on John Burns' birthday for a special presentation about Burns and his role in the Battle of Gettysburg. On July 1, 1863, John Burns left his home and joined in the fighting west of the town. He was wounded and captured but survived the battle to become one of the famous civilian warriors in American history.

Registration is required. Gettysburg History Members are free and Non-Members are $10. This event will be held at the Beyond the Battle Museum, Battlefield Overlook Event Center, 625 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg.
