Sneak Preview of the Jack and Julia Hopkins House

Step inside Gettysburg History’s ongoing restoration of the Jack and Julia Hopkins House (219 South Washington Street), the future home of Gettysburg’s new Black History Museum. Join historians Jean Green and Andrew Dalton as they share the story of the 1840s log home, the effort to preserve it, and artifacts uncovered during the restoration process.

Registration is required and limited to 15 people every 15 minutes. This open house is free to all, with donations encouraged but not required. Contributions may be made in person at the event or online at www.gettysburghistory.org.

Please meet at the Hopkins House, 219 South Washington Street, Gettysburg at our scheduled time.  Free two-hour parking is available along South Washington Street and adjacent streets.  Please note that this is an active work site so please wear appropriate shoes.
